Think about the things that show your personality at it’s fullest. What makes you who you are? Your followers have signed up to your email list for a reason. They want more of what you have to give.
A list of your creative ideas can be your best friend and you should get used to using them. I love reading other peoples list because they inspire me to create my own.

Looking for ideas to add to your bucket list? There are a number of things to see while you are alive and well.
Many people make bucket list as a reminder of things they want to do before they die and yet most never succeed at fulfilling any of those things. It’s thought of as something to do towards the end of life but why should it be? Stop dreaming about things as if hopefully they will happen later in life. Make a list every week or every month of things you want to try or accomplish. It could be as simple as exercising or drinking more water whichever it is you are acknowledging what you want and bringing it to the forefront of your thoughts. A good question to ask yourself is “how will you fill your bucket?” We want to fill our lives with meaningful purposeful things that make a difference. I think we all know that time slips through our fingers faster than we can grasp it. It is important to make the most out of every day even if it by taking the smallest of steps.
Here is my February list of things I want to do at this point in my life. I may never do everyone but I am sure if given the opportunity I will do most.
- Take a Gondola through Venise Italy
- Visit a castle
- Zip Line
- Sleep on the beach
- Go sailing
- Ride horses along the coast
- Learn Italian
- Fly in a hot air balloon
- Take a cruise
- Do volunteer work

Need more inspiration to start a bucket list? Check out my post Why You Should Have A Bucket List for ideas to get you motivated.
Each year we start with 365 days of having the opportunity to be amazing.
If you are given 365 days in a year to make choices that will help your future self then why is it that the majority of the population doesn’t take advantage of it. It is very easy to get trapped in the normal day to day jive of being average. Get up, get the kids off (if you have kids), go to work, come home, eat, go to bed and do it all over again the next day. You get stuck in a cycle of average comfort and once your there it is easy to stay there.
The easiest way to create change is by recognizing over and over what it is that is causing you to fall back into your old habits. We can’t expect our future to be different than our present if we keep making the same mistakes we have made time and time again.
- Make a list of changes you would like to see in the coming year.
- Start a new regimen. If it doesn’t work out, start another one until it does work out.
- Make a list of triggers for bad habits. Learn to recognize and prevent these triggers.
- Look around your home and get rid of something every week. Rid your home of unused items. No clutter equals more time for you.
- Be a beacon of inspiration to others. Your ability to help others change will keep you motivated to stay on track in your own life.
- Make healthy choices. Healthy choices are not exactly the most fun kind of choices but ultimately you will feel more energized.
- Avoid negative people. I am in contact with negative people daily however, I chose to keep our contact to a minimum.
- Learn something new every day. There is an amazing amount of things that can be self-taught. Get curious and get to searching.
- Stay on track. Don’t let discouragement creep in and keep you from changing your life. Take a day or even a week if you need down time and then get to it and start again.
- Be a producer of things and not a consumer of things.
You can break the cycle and change how you spend your 365 days. I think the most powerful lesson to take away is that you are only going to change your situation if you become the creator of it.
BE A PRODUCER OF THINGS
NOT A CONSUMER OF THINGS
Here are a few examples of things you can become a consumer of:
Social Media Accounts – How many hours are you spending scrolling through the feeds of everyone you follow. Be the creator of content and not just the consumer.
Shopping – Most of the time we go to the store for one thing and come home with 10 different things that were not on our list. Stop consuming things that will end up in the landfill in the next few months.
Get rich quick schemes – These are a waste of time. Stop scrolling through websites about getting rich fast. Most people who make thousands a month from their computer desk did it by creating content that was of value to others. Be a producer of valuable content.
The list can go on for eternity. By nature we are consumers. It’s okay to be a consumer of things that are valuable to your personal growth. Be cautious about where you allow your time to go.
Most people need the inspiration to plan a trip and there are some who don’t want to plan because it sounds like too much work. Whichever it is don’t get stuck in this common funk. Traveling opens your mind to a world of cultures. If we didn’t travel we wouldn’t have much to talk about besides the normal day to day things like working, paying the bills, and raising our children. I like to think of traveling as a new way to experience the world. Memories are something that we can carry with us for the rest of our lives. My husband and I took a trip to Maui, Hawaii a few years ago and the experience was a dream vacation. I couldn’t possibly explain to you the amount of pure satisfaction that filled every vessel in my body. If I could give any advice ever it would be to “Take the trip.”
STOP BEING A COLLECTOR
People are collectors. We like to collect things, we like to collect pictures, we like to collect clothes, the list goes on for an eternity. There are numerous things the average person collects over their lifetime. I was cleaning out my garage yesterday after a horrific washing machine break and was disgusted by the amounts of junk I had sitting out there. My garage was covered in gallons of water and I had no choice but to throw away much of what was not in plastic tubs. You don’t seem to care about something as much when it is drenched in dirty water. The key to a happy life is not in the things that you own but in the memories that you collect. There are so many trips you can take for little or no cost. If you stop collecting things you will have money to collect the memories.
PRIORITIZE YOUR SPENDING
Stop spending all of your earnings on the next best thing. Love what you already have. Keep what you use daily and get rid of what you haven’t used in the last year. There is no reason to keep clutter around. Its uninspiring and a demotivator. Visit your local events and restaurants. I would rather enjoy a nice lunch outside with a friend than buy another purse or pair of shoes. Take a lunch and sit at the park if you want to really save. You will find that if you stop spending money on things to impress people you will have much more in your savings to take the trip.
RESEARCH FOR YOUR BUDGET
Many trips are relatively cheap and last minute deals are a great way to save on a trip. Even if it’s just a weekend trip it will be worth your while. We once took an overnight trip to Santa Cruz for our anniversary and it is still one of my greater trip memories. We walked along the beach boardwalk, ate fried twinkies, and enjoyed the ocean breeze. Out of everything we did in that short 24 hrs, the indoor miniature golf in Neptunes Kingdom was something I will never forget. We had some drinks, ate a fabulous dinner at Stagnaro Bros. and spent the rest of the evening in Neptunes Kindom playing golf. We ended the night with a walk on the beach. I think our total cost was less than $300.00 which isn’t bad for an Anniversary date.
Taking a trip doesn’t have to kill your budget or send your stress nerves haywire. The more you adventure out the easier it is to get in the car and go. I don’t know about you, but I want to spend my time experiencing life and not watching others live theirs on the television.
What do you like to do with your free time?
Have you been looking for a way to freshen those closets? Strong laundry soaps are the common way to make the house smell good but is it really good for your health? I will let you be the judge of that! When it comes to my clothes I prefer a more natural way of doing things. Clothes are just the start, I also like to use my DIY Freshener to make the house smell AMAZING!
You can make a whole variety of different scents depending on which essential oil you prefer. If you are not savvy to the amazing world of essential oils, I will fill you in on some of my favorites.
Essential oils have been used for decades to not only improve health but also to provide aroma. Many different kinds of essential oils are used to make some of your favorite perfumes. Lavender is one of my favorites and I use it for most of my DIY cleaning. It is also known for it’s relaxing and calming benefits. Some even use it at night to help them sleep. Cinnamon bark and lemongrass are also very inviting in the home. If you are a young living fan than don’t miss out on Thieves essential oil. It smells a little like cinnamon and is said to have sickness fighting properties but again I will let you be the judge.
When using essential oils to make your DIY Laundry Soap or DIY fresheners you will want to have a glass container to hold them. Citrus essential oils can cause plastics to leach into your soaps and sprays. I like to buy the amber glass spray bottles because they look great on counters and are fairly cheap on Amazon.
That’s it! It really is that simple and it’s SUPPOSED to be. You don’t want all of those nasty chemicals you can’t even pronounce lingering around your home. I like to use this spray in my closets, on my clothes bins, and even on my curtains and bedding. You save a lot of money not buying commercial fresheners & cleaners. I don’t know about you but I like to save money and be natural at the same time!
P.s. Make sure your not allergic to any of the essential oils you chose and always find a test spot for any oil.
Opportunity usually shows up when you least expect it but there is always a reason it is knocking at your door. Your probably craving opportunity, wishing it would show up and save you from reality. When was the last time you had something great happen to you? Not many can say that they live in total greatness day in and day out. Most often we have to work really hard at it and maybe just maybe we will experience a moment of pure joy. I’m a firm believer in the power of attraction. What you put out in the universe is most likely what will be returned to you. I have watched this first hand with many of people that I have met in my life.
Not everything in life is horrible. Look hard to find good in every situation. If anything you can say that you learned from it even if it was a terrible experience. Practicing gratitude can really help to boost your enthusiasm for positivity. There is always something to be thankful for. Have you ever noticed those people who get out of bed angry in the morning usually end up having a bad morning? It’s like they welcome bad. They get up all grouchy, stub their toe, knock the coffee grounds all over the counter. It’s like dominos. You are asking for a disaster. Get up with the intent to have a good day. You may still stub your toe and even knock the coffee everywhere. Your reaction is what will decipher what the rest of the day will be like. I dare you to be positive!
This is my least favorite thing to do. I’m an introvert and I like my quiet time plain and simple. Staying indoors gets me literally nowhere. I MAKE myself get out and be social. Opportunity isn’t going to just show up at your doorstep and sweep you off of your feet. You have to be present and let people know who you are and what you are about. If you are staying home make sure you interact online. The world of social media is an amazing place to get connected and show your style. I have already found so many amazing people to follow.
Every day you slow your role, you diminish from the world of opportunity. I’m a fan of taking care of business and putting things on hold when need be. Just remember, while you’re away finding yourself, someone else is stepping in and finding connections. Try to keep moving towards your goals. There are days in the month where you will absolutely not want to do anything and that is okay. Make sure your only letting it be days that pass by not months. Find the time! This is probably the hardest one. We love to compare ourselves to others and their accomplishments. If we act like this or talk like that then maybe the people will love us. No! There is one you and that is probably your biggest and greatest chance for opportunity. You have something amazing that no one else has. It could be your style of writing or your talented photography. Maybe you just have a really good online presence. Whatever it is, use it to your advantage. I like to follow people who inspire me and keep me on track. So far I have found many bloggers of which all offer something different than the other.
Opportunity comes to those who seek it. Put the work in and you will eventually see the rewards.
Follow along for 365 days of being AMAZING!
How do you invite opportunity?
You have decided to take the leap. You are an entrepreneur who inspires to set out on your own path and create a life of purpose. What’s Next?
Becoming your own boss may sound a little far-fetched but it is actually easier than you might think. You will want to keep your current job as long as it takes to get your own side business set up. I call it investing in yourself. I have spent countless hours researching ways to make money from home. Everything from telemarketing ads to online teaching opportunities pops up in the search engines. This may be a great start for some and for others like myself it hasn’t worked out so well.
Think about the reasons you want to work remotely. Is it that you like to be in the comforts of your own home and you don’t mind sitting on a telephone all day or is it that you have found what you are passionate about and you want to take a shot at it. Either way, it is very important that you enjoy what you do. Don’t consider a telemarketing job unless you are highly passionate about helping people over the phone for countless hours a day. It is possible to love your job. Make sure you are giving it a lot of consideration. If you have considered opening a business in a small shop than your next step is to research commercial real estate. Whatever it is that your passionate about you will have to make a plan and learn as much as you can. Write everything down!
TAKE THE STEPS
You have carefully planned what you want to do for a current side job and possibly a full-time future job. It is important to plan out small steps to reach your goal. For example, I have just ordered the study material to take a state exam for a possible side career that I am looking into. Most of the time you will have to expect some investment to get into the profession of your dreams. After I study for the exam I will pay the test fees. These are small necessary steps to take to get to the end goal. I am also a photographer. That took many steps but I did it because it is what I love to do. Many things can be self-taught. I didn’t have to get a degree to learn how to use a camera. You would be surprised at how much you can learn online by doing the right research.
You can’t expect to set off on a new venture and have everything work out exactly as planned. We hope for the best but also expect the worse. Most people will begin with an intense amount of excitement and you can expect for this to taper off as you start to face problems. There will be financial setbacks, legal setbacks, and even motivational setbacks. Let it sink in now that everything will feel like it’s falling apart before you even take off the ground. Expect setbacks and don’t let them stop you from the purpose. If need be, change your course of action. You might come up with a greater idea.
Just remember why you started. You started because something inspired you to do so. Your path will change as you start on this journey. In college, I changed my end goal more than 3 times. You will learn a lot about yourself as you start this venture. When I started photography I thought there was no way that I would ever want to do newborn pictures. The cost of materials and the hours spent was not worth it. I had no idea what I was talking about. Newborn photography became my favorite sessions. You don’t know unless you try. Don’t be afraid to try new things. If it scares you it is probably the one thing you need to go for. When you face your fears you will realize that it gets easier and easier to say yes.
